Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, May Company, Robinsons May, Meier & Frank, Gottschalks, Disney, H&M, Urban Retail, Segerstrom, Macerich and Westfield are among some of the retailers and developers that Mr. Linane has had an opportunity to work with. Project types have ranged in scope from tenant improvement to ground up multi level projects to the major renovation and seismic upgrade of a historic downtown high rise.

Mr. Drews has extensive experience in retail architecture, with an emphasis on specialty retail stores and department stores. He also has participated in a wide variety of other projects types, including office buildings, multifamily housing, restaurants, and health clubs. He has been involved in all phases of the design and construction process, from initial programming and concept development through build out and fixturization. He has worked closely with major retailers in the development of store prototype designs, integrating various aspects of design such as storefronts, display fixtures, lighting, and finishes.

Throughout his career, Mr. Drews has enjoyed working with some of the top retailers in the world, including The Disney Store, Williams-Sonoma, Banana Republic, Coldwater Creek, H&M and Brighton Collectibles. His project experience is truly international, having completed projects in the United States, Germany, France, Japan, Canada and Mexico. Through these experiences, he has learned to work with many types of people under a variety of circumstances, including producing documents with metric dimensioning and notations in languages other than English.

Richard Brett is a key member of our Design and Management Team. He supplies a wealth of energy, enthusiasm, and design expertise to LDA. Richard provides our clients with Design, Planning, and Management assistance. He brings over twenty years of experience in design, planning, and production of retail and commercial projects throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Brett’s design focus has been a variety of commercial, retail project types including, regional shopping centers, neighborhood shopping centers, department stores, specialty retail shops, and food services. He has also been involved in a variety of other project types including, entertainment, theme parks, cinema, office, as well as health and wellness centers. Richard’s design skills are augmented by his interpersonal communication skills, a strong background and knowledge of the construction process. Mr. Corbett has recently joined Linane/Drews Architects.  Chris began his architectural studies and received his Bachelors of Science in Architecture with a minor in Sculpture from the University of Cincinnati. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles and worked in the residential sector where he gained technical experience prior to returning to school to obtain his Masters degree.  Chris received his Masters Degree in Architecture from Yale University.  He appreciates LDA’s Mentorship and commitment to developing young architects. Since joining Linane/Drews Architects Chris has provided designs for Disney, Coldwater Creek, and H&M.  He has also provided project management on projects such as the Disney Gallery at the Walt Disneyland Resort, Anaheim, and several project for Coldwater Creek, throughout the United States.

Mr. Bruce Parsons is an integral member of our Production and Management team. As an Architect he has worked on a variety of commercial, retail project types with a focus on department stores and other large-scale complex projects. Bruce has extensive experience with multiple project types. He has been project architect for diverse projects such as office buildings, post offices, congregate care facilities, hospitals, dental centers, schools, gymnasiums, banks, hotels, theaters, industrial parks and industrial facilities. Bruce brings over thirty five years of experience in architecture and construction.  He has completed projects for many retailers and department stores including Macy’s, Meier & Frank, Robinsons May, J.C. Penney, H&M and Disney. He has an excellent understanding of the construction process, having also worked as a project manager for a general contracting company. Steven Ruiz is a versatile and multitalented member of our production and management team. Steven’s expertise includes an extensive technical background in planning, specifications, construction documentation and construction field administration. Currently, Steven’s professional experience offers creative technical solutions as well as careful planning and management assistance to our clients. Mr. Ruiz has over 20 years of experience.  He started in the field of architecture designing broadcast facilities wich included space planning and technical design interfacing broadcast systems into the built environment.  Since joining LDA Steven has worked with many retail, commercial, and industrial clients.  His commercial and industrial projects include several office buildings and fabrication facilities for Acco Engineered Systems, Senior Aerospace, and Disney.  Steven has also had the opportunity to provide design and construction documents for several big box retailers such as Sport Chalet, Robinsons-May, Meier & Frank, Gottschalks, and Macy's.  Mr. Ruiz also plays an integral role in developing written specifications and providing third party quality assurance reviews on construction documents that have been developed throughout the office.  LDA is pleased to offer Steven's extensive technical knowledge and skill to our clients.

Citlalli graduated with a degree in Architecture in 2005 from ITESO, one of the top private universities in Mexico.  She collaborated with a prominent Guadalajara Architect on a large urban planning project for the city. After migrating to the United States, Citlalli worked for -D Design- in a wide variety of residential projects. Since joining -Linane Drews Architects- in 2008, she has worked as a designer in projects for Brighton Collectibles and Santa Maria Town Center.  Citlalli is a LEED AP accredited professional and is working towards obtaining her architect’s license.

Juan Velasquez is a Project Manager for Linane/Drews Architects. He received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley in 2003. He began his career at Linane/Drews Architects just months after graduating. In no time at all he became a project manager for various retail tenant improvement projects. Juan has managed various retail projects throughout the United States for retail accounts such as Coldwater Creek, Brighton Collectibles, The Disney Store, Gap, Banana Republic, andOld Navy. He has also worked on specialty shops in Disneyland, Downtown Disneyland, and Disney Tokyo.

Juan currently is a LEED Accredited Professional and has managed Gold and Silver certified Tenant Improvement projects. He is currently working on his Architectural license exams.

 Raul Cardenas is a versatile and multitalented member of our architectural management and production team.  Mr. Cardenas brings fifteen years of experience within retail and commercial architecture to his position as a project manager for Linane/Drews Architects.  He has been involved in numerous project types such as landlord tenant coordination, specialty retail, and department store design and construction.  Raul has worked with national developers such as Macerich, Urban Retail, Uhlmann, and Westfield providing them with landlord leasing support services, as well as design, contract documentation, jurisdictional expediting, and Construction administration services.  He has worked with numerous national retailers such as Macy’s, Robinsons-May, Gottschalks, Sport Chalet, and Disney, providing design and architectural production services on projects throughout the United States.  Mr. Cardenas has extensive experience with numerous commercial, office, and industrial project types throughout California.  Raul also administers and manages LDA’s computer systems, data base, and FTP site.
